Usability and Accessibility Statement of Website

At my personal website www.EhsanNaderi.com, I am actively working to provide the high level of usability and accessibility. My approach is to meet as high level as I can achieve. But, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.

Usability and Accessibility Features:

1. All the texts conveyed with color are still readable if a user is unable to distinguish color.

2. I attempted to provide information for scanning instead of reading. This include:

- Information architecture

- Font style and color

- Recognizable color for links and visited links

- Line and word spacing

3. I designed a simple and clean website to be easy to use, learn, and remember.

4. Alternative text or phrase has been added to images and text links to make senses when read out loud by a screen reader.

5. Non-mouse users are able to navigate thorough all pages by pushing [Tab] key.

6. Skip link to appropriate section and/or skip to beginning (top of the page) provided on any page which is needed.

7. Font-sizes use relative units of measurement. This makes scaling the font-size of my web site easier.

- Use your browser settings to change the text size.

- Hold [Ctrl] key and scroll your mouse.

- Hold [Ctrl] and push [+], [-], or [0] key.

8. Listen to my website. I added a refined speech file into some pages for enabling those who have difficulties reading web pages. Click on the [Listen] button on top of the pages to download audio version of the page in MP3 format.

9. In the future you can find more on mobile version of the website. Click on the [Mobile] button on top of the pages.

10. I added an alternative printer friendly version (PDF) of online information, wherever it was needed.

Accessibility Barriers:

1. Due to the visually nature of my Design Portfolio, and Sketching tutorial, this information can't be presented in an accessible format.

2. Due to the level of internet access, screen, and applications limitation of mobile users, many visual contents of the website have been eliminated in Mobile version.
